I’m a working mother of three beautiful children, Jane 20, Michelle 18, and Jacob 7. I’ve been married to Joe, a scientist and thinker, for 25 years in addition to a six-year courtship. So yes, I’ve known this man almost all my life. Amazingly, a quarter of century later, we can still make each other laugh, and our love has transformed from a hot and fierce flame to unquenchable deep burning coals.

My passion for life is family and writing. I decided to pen my memoir LET GO two years ago and haven’t been able to stop writing ever since. I am currently working on my second book on the topic of happiness from a scientific point of view. Writing has brought healing to my past sufferings, as well as refined new directions and meanings to my life.

I used to rush through life to get to the next thing. Now I am learning to stay in and savor the present while holding a positive outlook towards the future. It is definitely a much more enjoyable and relaxed way of living.

I wasn’t born with a sunny temperament. I was your average negative person who worried about losing what I had while ached for what I hadn’t attained. But I’ve always been intrigued by the subject of happiness and drawn to happy people. I’ve come to the realization over the last five years that happiness can be learned like you learn how to play a violin. I’ve read many books, research findings and applied the theories and discoveries to how I think internally and how I behave externally. With the daily exercise of the mind, today I am able to remain positive, cheerful and optimistic under almost all circumstances.

My desire is to use the platform of this blog to share my journey of self-understanding and self-empowerment by unleashing the hidden power and energy from within to live, laugh and love as my authentic self. Familial relationship is another subject I feel passionate about and therefore write often.

Want to share with you what the philosopher says about the Law of Cause and Effect:
Sow a thought and you reap an act;
Sow an act and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit and you reap a character;
Sow a character and you reap a destiny.
